Derek Schutt, a Colorado State University professor of geophysics in the Warner College of Natural Resources Department of Geosciences, has received a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program award for the 2023-2024 academic year from the U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

Every semester upon completing CSU's Destination Survey, Warner graduates receive a sticker. In the past, the sticker has been designed by the WCNR communications team but this semester will be a little different; we want to make the sticker extra special by having one of our students design it.
Established in 1977 by an executive order from President Jimmy Carter, the two-year fellowship program is designed to help graduate students jump-start their careers through unique leadership training. Each fellowship comes with a full salary and benefits at a select federal agency, which provides training, development and mentoring.
