Award for Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion

The Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources announces a new annual award to promote diversity and honor acts of inclusion in our community. The award recognizes efforts to promote diversity and inclusion in research, teaching, outreach, and administration, as well as day-to-day acts that foster an inclusive community on our campus.

Awarded each spring to three recipients, the awards will go to one HDNR faculty/staff member, one graduate student, and one undergraduate student who are actively advancing diversity and inclusion values within our community and beyond. Students must be enrolled in HDNR graduate programs or undergraduate majors to qualify. Each awardee will be given a small cash prize and certificate of recognition.

Individuals may self nominate or be nominated by another individual, and nominators may nominate up to one individual per category. Nominators should describe the nominee’s commitment to the advancement of diversity and/or inclusion as demonstrated by specific efforts and accomplishments. All nominations must be submitted by mid-April and should be submitted to theĀ HDNR Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
