The inaugural event of the Warner College Dean’s Distinguished Lecture Series, Further Together, delighted a sold-out crowd on Monday, Dec. 5 as more than 80 people filled Avogadro’s Number in Fort Collins to hear CSU 2022 Distinguished Alumna, Cindy Williams, speak about her role as a co-lead for Envision Chaffee County.
Ten Colorado State University students joined around 500 other participants in the inaugural Women’s Forest Congress in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to address current pressing challenges for forests and women in forestry. Along with students, CSU faculty and staff from the Colorado State Forest Service and the Colorado Forest Restoration Institute attended the in-person Congress.
Ecological restoration, which aims to rehabilitate an ecosystem that has been disturbed or damaged, has the potential to become a new form of outdoor recreation that benefits both people and the planet.
