Celebrating the 2022-2023 WCNR Award Winners

For the first time in Warner’s history, the college’s annual awards reception was split into two events to celebrate the 2022-2023 winners. The Student Awards Reception was held on Monday, April 17 in the Lory Student Center Theater, and the All-College Awards Reception was held on Thursday, May 4 in the atrium of the Michael Smith Natural Resources building.

During the Student Awards Reception, Dean A. Alonso Aguirre presented the winners of the first-ever Dean’s Fund for Transdisciplinary Approaches to Wicked Problems. The transdisciplinary grants allow researchers from different departments and centers to break down silos by working with people and groups outside of academia to address complex and interconnected problems.
