Conservation Leadership student blends CSU expertise and local knowledge to solve human wildlife conflicts
Conservation Leadership master’s student Francis Sopia grew up amidst abundant wildlife in the Maasai Mara, Kenya and was acutely aware of the conflict between human livelihoods and healthy wildlife populations. Forged from this conflict Sopia has devoted his life to further community-based conservation efforts to ensure the preservation of both.
Students Receive International Experiences in Conservation Leadership Scholarship
The newly established International Experiences in Conservation Leadership scholarship supported its first two Conservation Leadership through Learning students in program in 2018. The scholarship intends to support applied conservation work in immersive cross-cultural settings.
