The Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources's Tourism Naturally Conference is being hosted this year by University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) in TAUERN SPA Zell am See – Kaprun, Austria – May 16-18, 2018. The plenary track theme 2018 is “Nature based Tourism, Health & Well-being” and the venue is one of Austria’s most modern spa resorts, situated in the heart of Salzburg’s famous ski areas. During the conference, experts will give insight into sustainable management, product development, and new trends in nature based tourism – but with a special focus on landscape, culture, and health issues.
HDNR Tourism Program Director Sam Martin recently gave the closing keynote on sustainable tourism development at the European Mountain Tourism Conference, in Andorra, alongside other notable keynotes such as UNWTO Secretary-General Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili and Andorran Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Antoni Martí.
Every year, the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation awards the Truman scholarship to students across the nation who are proponents of public service in many different fields. This year, four Colorado State University students out of 194 national finalists have been nominated for the scholarship.
